Before I release my scheduled post, I just had to praise The Most High for a minute.
Today, I was writing my expenses down and before I even gotten halfway through, I began to tear up and praise the Lord. I know it was nobody but God that keeps me. I began to say to myself, “sometimes I don’t know how I get things done, but I do get it done. Because of the grace of God.
I was instantly reminded by the Spirit, “my grace is sufficient for you”.
A definition of kept that I like is, “provide for the sustenance of“.
The definition of sufficient is “enough.”
Jesus is the epitome of grace. What He provides is enough. Jesus supplies the right amount of daily bread. Not too less and not too much.
That daily bread could be strength, knowledge, wisdom, healing. It could be food, water, clothes or shoes. It could be money, resources, time or opportunity.
He gives enough because He is enough.
Being Kept In My Weakness
The author of 2nd Corinthians 12:9, Paul, states what God said to him in response to a certain struggle he was battling with. God’s response was “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power works best in weakness”.
Apostle Paul’s struggle was a thorn in his flesh. But God kept him.
Just imagine if Paul wasn’t given a thorn in his flesh, he would have boasted and took pride in his own knowledge, wisdom, wealth, popularity and so on.
Most High says, “my power works best in weakness”. Meditate on that for a minute.
Has any of you ever been prideful or conceited because of all that you have? And during that time, did you lean on God for strength during the best days like you did on the worst days? It’s okay to admit the truth because God knows all and sees all.
I’ll start the confessions.
I once lived my life thinking my life was so great. I had a good paying job, lots of clothes and shoes, bills paid and still had some to splurge on. I even had a lot of friends. I didn’t always make the time for God because I didn’t feel like I had to lean on Him. Life was great right?
Until it wasn’t.
Until I fell.
And when I was down, the Lord picked me up and kept me.
He kept me and wouldn’t let go.
Have you ever felt kept by God? Do you ever give Him praises for what you have?
I used to never be the person that liked asking for help. I didn’t like to ask because it made me feel weak. Feeling weak told me I wasn’t in control.
But now that I live my life for Christ, I don’t want to have the control. I need Him to take the wheel and direct my life.
If I have to be weak and die to self in order to be spiritually strong and live in Christ, I will boast in my weakness.
I will boast when I didn’t see a way but God made a way when He sent The Way.
I will boast when I needed strength to face another day, and The Word helped me persevere each day.
I will boast when my body was sick, and God gave it healing.
I will boast when I was afraid, and God kept me sheltered under His wing.
I will boast when past relationships failed and God showed me my worth said, “you are mine”.
Don’t get me wrong, having things are not the problem, it’s the heart behind it. Always remember that all we have and who we have is borrowed from the Lord.
Never solely depend on what you have to keep you, sustain, protect you or identify you. Why? Because it could change. But God never changes.
And it is He that keeps me.
All praises go to The Most High, the Holy One of Isra’el.
So, it doesn’t matter who you are or where you are in life. It doesn’t matter the economy class you are in or if you’re single, married, divorced, or widowed.
It is worth being kept by God.
Do you want Him to keep you?

Accepting Jesus Christ In Your Life
If you declare with your mouth that, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. (Romans 10:9-10)
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. AMEN.
Matthew 6:9-13
Amen. Beautifully said. Our lives are in Christ and we surrender to Him who is able to keep us from falling as long as we continue to trust Him.
