Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog! So before I get started, I just want to say this was not my original idea topic for this week but my spirit was moved, so I just want to share a little bit about where my title came from. Four days ago, I was on my way home from work and this feeling of happiness and feeling blessed came over me. After getting home, I grabbed my notebook and notecards. At the top page in my notebook, I wrote the title, Enjoying Everyday Life. But then I grabbed my notecards. What I began writing on those notecards was much different than what I had thought I was going to write about. The content I was writing on my notecards was about dreams, goals, self-doubt and doubting God.
Fast forward to that evening while digging in a tote for one of my older bibles, was my journal that I haven’t written in since early 2019. Let me tell ya’ll how good God is. On January 30, 2019, what I wrote and prayed for (after I journal, I’ll write a prayer) took me aback for a moment. I was shocked because what I wrote and prayed for was very similar to what I talked to God about towards the end of the year, but I had forgotten that I even said and asked God such things on that day.
The first sentence I wrote stated: “If you learn to sit still long enough and be in peace, you will hear the Spirit of God talking to you.” The last two sentences ended with “I know God is about to answer my prayers and fill my cup until it overflow. A dream or goal is never to big for the ONE who provides.” My Prayer ended with ” I also want to thank you for opportunities, dreams, goals and blessings. If there is a way I can have a positive impact on someone or people in general, give me that light and show me the way.”
I was in debate if rather or not, I should share pieces of my personal journal, but I know there is a reason why God put it on my mind to look for that certain bible which led me to find my journal that led me to read what I wrote and prayed for on that day in January 2019. He wanted me to see that he didn’t forget my thoughts and prayer, even when I did. You see God knew in that year what was going to happen, he knew my mind was going to be in a million places, he knew I was going to be dealing with different emotions, but he also knew my relationship with Jesus was going to deepen. That whole year, God waited and waited, when he knew it was time…He Delivered. He couldn’t give me what he had for me before because I wasn’t ready. But he was preparing me along the way.
If any of you are in your waiting season, I encourage you to not only work on yourself, but to also work on your relationship with Jesus while you wait. Trust me when I say this, God wants the best for you. Sometimes what we think we want or need is not always what’s best. God is waiting and he is willing and when he knows the right time…He Will Deliver. Try Him and succeed the right way. I made that choice to seek him. My way only brought confusion and headache. His way brought peace and assurance.
” Seek the Kingdom of God above all else and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
Matthew 6:33

“Stop seeking the world for only what God can give you.”
