Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28), who are we not to serve? Jesus said, “No servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him”. (John 13:16) If God called you today to do something for His kingdom, will you answer?
Confession. I answered, but not immediately.
2020
In 2018, I started having this desire to live with purpose and help others. Little did I know what that small desire would lead to. I would often talk to God about it, but I was still battling between self and spirit. I didn’t really push it until after my dad passed away in 2019.
God put that desire in my heart, but He couldn’t fulfill it until He knew it was time.
That year of 2019, I leaned heavily on God for strength. Strength for me, my mom and siblings. I was in God’s Word faithfully. That is where I found my hope, strength and peace. In that Bible, is where I was finding my purpose.
Throughout that year, He gave me the phrase, “Girl On A Mission”. Little did I know, I was going to be on a mission for Christ.
At the end of 2019, He called me.
He called and said that He wanted me to be a blogger for His Kingdom. I didn’t feel qualified. I was afraid of what others would say and that I wasn’t good enough or knew enough to do His will.
January 2020, He called again and said, “It’s time”. I responded, “I don’t have time”. Little did I know two months later, He was going to make time.
He called again and said, “Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it is in your power to help them”. (Proverbs 3:27)
The last thing that tried to stop me was the name. After debating with Him about the name He was giving me, in March 2020, He called again. He said Girl On A Mission will be the name because you are on a mission to bring souls to Christ. I answered and told Him yes.
Will You Answer?
God is getting His Church together.
Both young and old. I have witnessed so many young people coming to Christ or have a desire to come to Christ. Many of them have said that God has been talking to them and they know that it is time.
Some of you, He is calling just to be near Him. To become healed, whole and complete. To be intimate, relational and experience what love really is. He is calling some others to Him to receive rest for their weary souls.
Then there are those that is already in close relationship with God. He is calling them to stand boldly for the kingdom of God and serve wholeheartedly.
The calling isn’t easy, but is necessary.
Will you refuse to serve for the Kingdom even though the King first came to serve you?
Or will you answer with a yes even though you don’t know the outcome, but you do know what awaits you in the end…Salvation.
2023
Throughout this year in 2023, God called me again.
By March, He had given me my tasks.
(John 21:15-17) Feed His lambs. Shepherd His sheep. Feed His sheep.
(Isaiah 42:7) Open eyes that are blind. Free captives from prison. Release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.
(Matthew 5:14-16) Be the light of the world. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
(John 13:1-17) Wash others feet just as Jesus has washed mine with the cleansing power of His blood. Jesus humbled himself to a lowly position and not only washed the feet of those who loved Him, but also, to those who hated Him. He said to follow His example and be blessed.
(Isaiah 58:6-7) Fast the way God has chosen. “to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke. To share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter. Clothe the naked and don’t turn away from your own flesh and blood.
This was the mission of Jesus Christ. He Came. He Conquered. He Ascended. His Spirit Descended.
This Then Became The Mission Of The Church.
For the Bible says in Acts 2:21, “anyone that calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”. Question is, if He called on you, will you answer?

P.S. Don’t worry if you don’t feel qualified, smart enough or good enough to do His will. Your flesh isn’t enough for the spiritual realm. That is why God promised us a Helper, the Holy Spirit. He leads, He guides, He provides and He protects. With Him, you are more than enough to do God’s Will.
