Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog! It’s been two weeks since my last post, but like I was explaining on my Facebook platform, I needed extra time with this one. My tag line for Girl On A Mission is “ To bring people closer to Christ our Lord and Savior”. As I was figuring out what to write about next, I had different topics running through my mind, but nothing was settling. I would pick up my pen and paper and start writing, but wasn’t much coming to me. After spending some time in prayer, I was moved to listen to one of my favorite Christian songs, “Spirit Lead Me” by Influence Music & Michael Ketterer. That is exactly what God was trying to tell me by not giving me much to write on at the time. I was thinking too much in my flesh and wanting to have the next post written by a certain day. But the Spirit knows what and when I should write. So, I was led to do exactly what my tagline says, bring people closer to Christ our Lord and Savior by spreading the Good News of salvation. I will be quoting scripture from the Book of John. For those of you that are new to reading the Bible and want to learn more about Jesus life on earth, I recommend the Four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Following John is the Book of Acts. There you will learn about how Christ disciples continued the work Jesus began through the Holy Spirit and how thousands of souls were saved and became followers of Christ.
In the Book of John, Jesus was talking with his disciples and told them: “I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH , AND THE LIFE. NO ONE CAN COME TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME.”
This is how I look at it.
Jesus is the only Way to have a relationship with the Father. Jesus is the Truth, and if we remain faithful in His teachings, the truth will set us free. Jesus is Life, and as we follow Him, He will give us eternal life.
THE WAY
We all or at least most of us would like to go to heaven someday right? We know there’s a God, but how many of us has accepted His Son that died on a cross for our sins so that we can have a relationship with the Father and have eternal life?
In the Book of Genesis, Adam and Eve sinned against God in the Garden of Eden causing sin to separate us from God. But lets thank Him for the resurrection of Jesus so that through Him we have salvation. What is salvation one may ask? It is the deliverance from sin and being saved from death by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
TRUTH
There are so many different religions and teachings in the world today, but don’t let people of this world fool you. Jesus is the ONLY Truth that can and will set you free from the bondage of sin.
Do you want to be free from the bondage of sin that is holding you back from experiencing the amazing grace of God? Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, ask Him to forgive your sins and turn away from your sinful lifestyle by having faith in Jesus and choosing to follow Him and obey his teachings.
Once I was blind, now I can see. I repented of my sins and chose to follow Christ, now I am free. Free to live the life God has for me.
LIFE
I’m only in this life for a mere time. I want to live it in purpose and strive to be more like Jesus. As I live my life on this earth to glorify God, I have no doubt that I will live forever. Jesus laid down His life so that we could have everlasting life. For the scripture say, “there is no better love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. This is my command: Love each other.” John 15:13-14;17
Jesus didn’t die so you could stay a slave to sin. No matter what you have done, nothing is too big for God’s grace and mercy. If you want to be serious about God and experience all that He has for you then turn away from your sinful nature and turn towards Christ. Don’t waste time that you might not have and don’t take life for granted. Will you choose to follow the One that leads to life or will you choose to follow the world that leads to death? He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9
Thank you for reading and before I end, I want to share 7 things about our Wonderful Jesus!
