As I was about to finish a prior blog draft and release, I was led to read Matthew 6:25-34. This evening caught me going to God regarding a matter and I was very upset when I talked to Him. I remember saying these words, “I don’t know what all I need, but I do need You“.
Have you ever felt like that? You truly didn’t know what all you needed. You just needed and wanted to hear from Him. That He was well aware of your situation. You wanted assurance that He was going to make a way.
After talking with Him, He led me to read a scripture that He knew was going to speak hope and peace back into my life for that particular moment. He also knows that there is someone else out in the world that needs hope and courage to get through today.
This Scripture is what I’ve built my hope on since year 2012. Matthew 6 had led me through the darkness when I was bound by worry and fear that led to depression.
Jesus said…
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and your body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
And why do you worry about your clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you – you of little faith?
So do not worry saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
For the pagans run after all these things; and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.
Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Just like a parent care for their child, our Heavenly Father cares for us.
What Happens When You Let Go and Let God?
You will receive peace that surpasses all understanding.
You will receive hope that God will do what He promised.
You will receive courage to press on.
You will receive joy that is not dependent on circumstances.
You will walk in faith and not in doubt.
Give to God what is out of your control.
Let go of the fear that you will never get well. Let go of the fear that you cannot afford the basic necessities. Let go of the worry that you will not be able to get your car fixed or buy another car. Let go of the fear that you don’t have the right resources to be successful. Instead of worrying about when or if you’re going to meet your spouse, ask God to prepare you to be a spouse. Nothing is too hard for God. His storehouse will forever overflow, and His goodness will last from generation to generation.
Stop believing the lie that you are too far gone. My Jesus will leave the 99 to go get His one lost sheep. Stop believing the lie that all you’ve done is too great to forgive. The grace and mercy of Jesus is greater than your sins. And stop believing the lie that you’re better off without Him because you have all you need in your fame, money, careers, businesses etc. Just like the prodigal son, the Father is the reason you were able to receive those things, and when you come running back to Him, He will meet you with open arms. Then you’ll realize, He was all that you truly needed.
He is all that we truly need.
Additional Hope and Encouraging Scriptures
Even though Matthew 6 is my foundational Scripture for any worry and/or anxious feelings, I want to share others that I have turned to as well. In this day and age, with the inflation rates rising, people going through illnesses, whether physical, mental or spiritual, and others experiencing job loss, grief, marital issues or even infertility, we all need the Word to give us what this world cannot.
Please note: If you are going through anything that I failed to mention above, I do apologize as there are many problems that humanity is experiencing right now. But take heart! Jesus has overcome the world. He’s the Peace.

Monique ST,
If you have not confessed and received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can do so now. He exemplified the greatest love when He laid down His life to redeem your soul, to give you the life God created for you and so that you can have an everlasting relationship with our Father. You are very special to Him and He will welcome you in His kingdom. Jesus is Love, Peace, Joy and Mercy. He is Lord, Savior and Friend.
If you acknowledge with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Confess and receive deliverance today.

Amen to the entire message! God has everything we need. It is up to us to acknowledge Him as our source for all things. We are called to a life in Christ. Everything we need is in Christ and Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh. I look for what I need in His Word. God is faithful no matter what and His Word is living and active. We just need to believe and obey to see the results.
Monique ST says
Yes! Believe it, receive it and obey the Word. 🙌🏾
