What is a blessing? A blessing to me is the pure goodness of God. If you want a dictionary’s definition, a blessing is God’s favor and protection, which is pretty much the pure goodness of God.
As I am writing this, there is about to be a bad storm heading our way in SE Oklahoma, but the only thing I could do when I made it home this evening from work was give God praises because of who He is and what He has done.
He blessed me before he formed me. He gave me a purpose, future and hope before I came out of my mother’s womb.
A Few Ways God Has Blessed Me
On Christmas day, when I was a toddler, my brother and I had a 3-wheeler wreck. We ran into a barbed wire fence. (I was raised in the sticks and on dirt roads! lol). I was sitting in the front of my brother and the barbed wire grabbed my chin and cut my skin open. But guess what, God was indeed present and although I have a scar forever, His goodness covered me and I was indeed blessed to see another day.
On Halloween during my freshman year of high school, my family’s house caught on fire. It started in my room and I lost everything but two rings. One has a cross in the middle and the other has a rose gold flower on it. I don’t quite remember if those rings were in the room or somewhere else in the house, but they withstood the fire.
Although we didn’t have clothes, shoes, or house of our own, my family and I were indeed still blessed. Thanks to the community, family and most important, the love of God.
During a summer night of 2015, I was at work at Dollar General when my stomach started burning in the inside. No matter how much medicine I took, the burning and pain gotten worse. I called my sister after midnight and her and our mother came to take me to the hospital.
Test after test, the radiologist and nurses had no idea what that ball looking thing was in my stomach. The last option was surgery. The local hospital only had one surgeon on site, so I waited all morning in pain. Finally my turn came for surgery and it was revealed exactly what was inside of me. A 10IB mass.
But by the goodness and grace of God, it was not cancerous. *I’m planning on writing more on this testimony because this day actually will have an effect on my future as a woman, wife and mother.
Blessed Beyond Measure
I’m thankful that God’s grace has been covering me knowingly and unknowingly. In my health, my finances, relationships etc.
My heart is beating…I am blessed.
My lungs are healthy and I can breathe…I am blessed.
My vision is not 20/20, but with eye glasses, I can see well…I am blessed.
I am able to move my body…I am blessed.
My car isn’t the latest model or foreign, but it takes me to and from…I am blessed.
I have clothes, shoes, food and water…I am blessed.
My apartment gives good shelter…I am blessed.
I am able to work and bring in income for my household…I am blessed.
God taught me what true love really is…I am blessed.
God has given me plans, purpose and provision….I am blessed.
Yeshua (Jesus) revived, restored and redeemed my soul…I am blessed.
Our Lord and Savior gave up His life for you and I to have eternal life…We Are Blessed.
If you haven’t already given your life to Christ, now is the opportunity. He came for you and I to be set free from the bondage of sin and live eternally with Him. In Romans 10: 9 it states: If you confess with your mouth that ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Remember that obedience comes with believing. Let’s obey God and live for Him because this world is not our forever home.
Thank you for reading and I will have a quote and song down below for you.

We are most definitely blessed, well said, I might not have it all but I’m blessed, although I was diagnosed with diabetes. I’m blessed to see another day to keep trying to better myself in health. God is the most high God, we are thankful for him daily..
